The Anambra State Governor, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, has claimed that individuals carrying out kidnapping and killings in the South-East are Igbo. Former National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Victor Umeh has revealed that the alliance talks between the Labour Party (LP) and the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) collapsed over three weeks ago. Speaking on Sunrise Daily, a Channels Television programme on Tuesday, Umeh specifically said that the coalition talks broke down on June 15 because both parties could not agree on some issues. Umeh said that the two parties could not decide on who will emerge as the presidential candidate and the running mate, saying that the LP has cancelled further discussion with the NNPP.
